Canadians Prefer Regular Mail
07-07-2005
Canada: Canadians, at least most of them, prefer
regular mail in order to receive documents and information instead of
receiving it by e-mail, according to a study by BrandTrust for Pitney
Bowes. Canadians (eighty-one percent) consider regular mail more secure
and reliable than e-mail.
Fifty-eight percent of Canadian households with access to the World Wide
Web prefer receiving messages, letters and documents by regular mail.
Only thirty percent prefer the e-mail.
Concerning financial mail, such as bills and other financial information,
eighty-five percent of the Canadians who have access to e-mail put their
trust to regular mail rather than e-mail. Eleven percent prefers receiving
it via e-mail.
BandTrust interviewed more than 250 households.
